Metropolitan Food Ministry & Gleaners Partner Agency - Virtual Food Drive
In 2013, more than 550 Gleaners partner agencies distributed 95,000 meals each day to hungry neighbors who would otherwise go without.

Tax Help for DPS Parents
DPS parents who made less than $57,000 last year can file their Federal and State taxes online for FREE
using a special service provided by United Way for Southeastern Michigan and the Wal-Mart Foundation.

Food and Prescription Assistance
Adult Well-Being Services has funding from the City of Detroit to provide adults age 50 and older with money for food for the holidays
or help with medical prescriptions. These funds are available through December 2012.

Program Helps Detroit Families Buy Vehicles
Ways to Work of Michigan helps families with poor credit buy reliable vehicles.
The program, which will be launched March 26, also requires applicants to take a financial education course as part of the loan process.
Matrix Human Services and Spectrum Child & Family Services will administer car loans and repair loans to families in Wayne, Oakland and
Macomb counties through the Detroit Ways to Work economic empowerment program. Persons seeking information may call Matrix Human Services
